Walter Fritz was born in 1958 in Dettenhausen near Tübingen. After training and working as a journeyman bricklayer from 1982 to 1987, he made the decision to pursue a degree in architecture and completed his studies from 1988 to 1992 at the Hochschule für Technik in Stuttgart.
Since 1993, he has worked at a+r Architekten, where he became a partner in 2010. Walter Fritz has been a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA) since 2013.
