Data Processing on Our Website

When you visit our website, our web server temporarily stores each access in a log file. The following data is collected and stored until automatic deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the requested file
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Notification indicating whether the request was successful
  • Identification data of the browser and operating system used

This data is processed for the purpose of enabling website use (establishing a connection), ensuring system security, technical administration, operation of the network infrastructure, and optimization of our online services. We are unable to attribute this data to specific individuals. The data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted following statistical evaluation.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Collection, Processing and Use of Personal Data

When processing data, your legitimate interests are always taken into account in line with the relevant legal provisions. Personal data is collected only if you voluntarily provide it to us, for example when contacting us by providing your name, email address, postal address, or other information. We use the data you provide solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiries and do not require separate consent for this purpose.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Matomo

This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo to statistically evaluate visits to our website and continuously improve our online offering. Matomo is operated by tan3 on their own server (server location: Germany). No collected data is transmitted to third parties or external servers.

No Cookies: No cookies are used for analytics purposes. Users are therefore not permanently recognized across multiple visits.
IP Anonymization: Visitors' IP addresses are shortened/anonymized before storage (anonymization of the last two bytes). It is therefore no longer possible to identify individual persons.

Processed Data

  • Anonymized IP address
  • Visited pages
  • Time spent on the website
  • Referrer URL (the page from which the user arrived)
  • Browser and operating system information (general, non-identifying)
  • Time of page access

Purpose of Processing: The analysis is carried out exclusively for statistical purposes and to optimize our website. No user profiles are created that can be attributed to individuals.

Legal Basis: Processing is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in the needs-based design and optimization of our website. Since no cookies are set and no personally identifiable profiles are created across websites, we believe that consent pursuant to Article 25 TDDDG is not required.

Retention Period: The collected data is automatically deleted after six months.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. Cookies may be stored by Google on your device for up to two years. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activities, and provide further services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent Google's collection and processing of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Alternatively, you may set an opt-out cookie that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on this website.

Please note that Google Analytics on this website has been extended with the code "anonymizeIp()" to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (IP masking).

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

MyFonts

This website uses web fonts provided through the MyFonts Counter service operated by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc., 500 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA, to ensure a consistent display of fonts.

When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to correctly display text and fonts. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font installed on your device will be used.

Due to licensing requirements for the fonts used, page view tracking is performed to count visits to this website for statistical purposes and transmit this information to MyFonts. MyFonts collects anonymized data in this context.

Further information about data processing by MyFonts can be found at: https://www.monotype.com/legal/privacy-policy/

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Vimeo

Our website includes videos provided by Vimeo (Vimeo.com, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA). The videos are embedded using Vimeo's "Do Not Track" mode (parameter dnt=1). In this mode, Vimeo does not set tracking or analytics cookies when the video is loaded or played. However, when a page containing an embedded Vimeo video is accessed, a connection to Vimeo's servers is technically required in order to load the video player and video content. During this process, your IP address and, where applicable, information about your browser or device are transmitted to Vimeo. Data processing partially takes place in the United States. Vimeo participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), which provides an adequate level of data protection for transfers of personal data to the United States pursuant to Article 45 GDPR.

Legal Basis: Since no cookies are set and no user profiles are created across websites in Do Not Track mode, we rely on our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in providing an attractive presentation of video content. In our assessment, separate consent under Section 25 TTDSG is not required because no cookies or comparable technologies on the user's device are accessed.
