On the former freight and marshalling yard in Heidelberg, there is little left to remind of the old railway station. Over the past ten years, the area has been developed into a residential and commercial location, transforming it into a modern district. The new quarter on the building site ED04 of the Bahnstadt Heidelberg district, particularly the utilisation concept with flexible floor plans that integrate diverse small-scale commercial spaces with various types of housing, assumes an important urban function. A total of 78 apartments in 4 buildings with an underground car park will be built there. The block perimeter development, inner courtyard and green spaces within the quarter create an airy, green atmosphere.
